The Mavericks are not going to improve fast. Dirk Nowitzki is not in good enough shape. They’ll be the same Mavs they were before last season.

The Lakers deserved a better fate against the Bulls and actually played pretty well, but I just don’t see them as a top flight team anymore. I’m not convinced the supporting cast will hold up. Kobe shot the ball pretty well yesterday; I think it’s going to be difficult to shoot that well consistently with that lineup. I realize this is a power rankings list, but I like Memphis and Dallas to move up and the Lakers to move down.
