Man in process of robbing Lou Williams decides not to rob Lou Williams

Dec 26, 2011, 4:57 PM EDT

Lou Williams Jumper

From Williams’ twitter account (by way of Larry Brown Sports and Ball Don’t Lie):

Almost got robbed today.. But homie said he recognized me and the good I’ve done for his hood so that made him change his mind… WOW

After the game Williams detailed the incident, saying he took the man to a local fast food restaurant and bought him a meal.

You’ve gotta admit, that’s one heck of a story. Just one more reason for NBA players to do charity work and give back to their community — people will think twice about robbing you on Christmas Eve. Well done, Lou Williams.

I love that this could happen in my city. Only in Philly

I see nothing good in this story. Had Lou Williams been just a regular person he may have been robbed or worst. It just goes to show one should always carry “vex money” when you go out.You never know when you’ll need it

I don’t know what is WORSE, your grammer, or the idea of carrying money around to give anyone who may decide to rob you

I think it’s pretty ironic that you accused someone of bad GRAMMAR just as you were misspelling said word. GOOOOOOOOOOO SIXERS!!

“andyp03″, arguably the best reply message in the history of “replydom”. Nothing quite like calling out someone for grammar and then butchering the spelling of the word. “somekat”, just curious, what’s it like being a total idiot? Step away from the keyboard…

dude u dont get that was checking williams because he appears to have money, but when elrobber saw it was someone doing for his community he back down. I say right on, if more million dollar babys took care of small part of their country there would be no need to rob or hurt people
