Are you an idiot? First of all most of those 58 losses last year came before we traded for deron. After we got deron we started winning a lot more games and at a point were 5 games out of the 8th seed. Second Denron stated himself that there is a 90 percent chance he'd sign with the Nets. Third, if we I get Howard, the best center in the league, who nobody can stop defensively or offensively, how do we not have a chance at winning the title? We have young prospects like marshon brooks and damion James who have the potential to be all stars. So shut your mouth.

I have a feeling if Howard commits to the Nyets, so does Williams. And why wouldn't he want to go to Brooklyn, with a top-3 PG and a multi-billionaire playboy Russian gangster owner?

"Does anyone really think Williams and Howard are what New Jersey needs to win an NBA title? "
A top-3 PG and the best C in the game. Where would you start, oh wise one?

The Lakers havent offered Bynum and Gasol for Howard. I think if they decided to do that the deal would get done. Howard likes the idea of the Nets because they are moving to Brooklyn and their owner has the means to compete (also he seems to favor the last person he speaks with). In the NBA right now it doesnt matter how bad you have been historically... it only matters where you are located and your market size (see LA Clippers). Also draft picks are essential to small market teams. If the Nets really are willing to offer 5 picks and Lopez... thats a deal that could help Orlando rebuild. Who knows maybe they can find the next great center that will leave town for a bigger market.

How will “a broken foot” impact his trade value as in “Brooke and a bag of rocks” for Dwight Howard? Why would Orlando management make THAT deal? Second, I have no idea why Dwight said he’d play for Jersey. At 24-58, the Nets were the fifth worst team in the NBA last season. Orlando went 52-30 last year. If Howard doesn’t like losing in Orlando, why is going to a worse team with worse weather any better? Williams is currently the best player on the Nets and he won’t sign a contract extension. In a best case scenario, Williams signs and Jersey gets Howard. Then what? Does anyone really think Williams and Howard are what New Jersey needs to win an NBA title?

I’m not a Laker fan and I think LA would be making a mistake in doing it, but if Orlando is going to deal Howard, send him to LA. Bynum and Gasol for Howard is a much better deal than a center who just broke his foot (and was rushed through rehab) and some no-names.

Regarding Lopez’ foot being better in 6-8 weeks, it appears to be a little tougher for other “big men”. Using the Nets own propaganda – Andray Blatch, Kwame Brown and Paul Gasol all took FOUR MONTHS to recover.
