It’s very simple, when your contract is up you are a FREE AGENT. When you are under contract, you play as hard as you can for the team that is paying you.

The real problem is players who sign long-term guaranteed contracts and then quit on their teams by issuing trade demands when they become unhappy. If these guys (Kobe a few years back, Dwight, CP3) didn’t want to play on bad teams, they should have signed 1 year deals every year instead of guaranteed money. They wouldn’t have returned the money if they had career ending injuries so what gives them the right to request trades when they are under contract?

He really needs to search his soul and maybe even the Webster’s dictionary for the word “humility”

Its not even that what he said is factually incorrect, but saying it makes him sound like a total d-bag.

Cleveland fell for his lie, he never intended to re-sign there. He just faked out Gilbert so that they didn’t try to sign and trade him to get some compensation for the franchise. Then James would have been forced to refuse to sign an extension for another team than Miami.

And it would have been revealed he had no intentions other than going to the Heat in free agency. Free agency is the only way that James could have ended up with Wade and Riley. Miami had no players that anyone wanted, they could not trade for him.

Howard is a thousand times more honest and honorable than James. James deserves the reviling he is whining about. He earned it himself. Howard would be a Laker right now if Cuban had not forced Stern to veto the Paul trade. Howard will be filthy rich like James. But he wants rings too.

The Lakers with Paul and Kobe are the only team he would have signed an extension with in a trade. Stern’s trade block guaranteed that Howard will go to Dallas with Deron Williams to play with Dirk this summer. That is why Cuban has trashed his championship roster like Riley did.

Check it out, he will have the cap room for Howard and DWill at the end of the season. The only chance Orlando had to get compensation for Howard was the Lakers. He won’t sign an extension with any other team.

Orlando loses Dwight just like they did Shaq. But it’s not their fault. When Cuban got Stern to block the Paul trade, Howard closed the door on any sign and trade extension. He won’t go to a team that can’t compete for rings. And sneaky behind the scenes manipulating connivers like Cuban and Riley are putting together teams with 3 superstars.

Cuban steals small market talent right after his public statement of how wrong that is. And the reason they had to Lockout was to stop that from occurring. His words are worthless, the actions show that if Cuban or Stern’s lips are moving, they are lying.

And he steals with no compensation like Riley does. Orlando and New Orleans, say hello to contraction.

LBJ is right their situations arent even close to being the same. Its apparent that Howard has made his mind up and he is leaving Orlando. He’s just trying to save face by talking about he might stay if Orlando improves, knowing there isnt much they can do. If Ferry would have let Hickson go, LBJ would still be in Cleveland with Amare.

There are many opinions out there of you for how you handled yourself up to your decision to head to South Beach. There are many opinions out there about how you and your teammates came off during your preseason celebration and how you basically said that with you and Wade, winning multiple championships was going to be easy. Finally, there are many opinions on how you came off during the interview after you lost in the Finals and how you continue to come off in subsequent interviews.

However right or wrong these things are doesn’t matter. What matters is that you need to win. In order to win, your game has to get better. Everyone said Jordan couldn’t defend, Jordan couldn’t shoot, Jordan was a ballhog and couldn’t win a title, and Jordan proved everyone wrong again and again because he took those perceived weaknesses and made them unquestionable strengths.

LeBron, a post game will make you unstoppable. You don’t have a post game.
