If this were Kobe even 2 years ago, he would have dunked dat thing AND ONE. Now, he’s getting there two steps slower than the defense and ending up on his @ss/wrists. Not a Laker fan, but if I were them, I’d trade him while teams still think he’s the Former Kobe and get a younger Franchise type of player in return. Even if that player is 80% of what Kobe brings. Like just trade for Eric Gordon, a high first round pick for next years deep draft. Then pick up Deron Williams next year from FA and let Artest and Fish retire, or cut em. They’d still have Bynum and Gasol and be two deep on the bench.

I’m not a Lakers fan, but only a hater cheers an injury to one of the league’s premier players. Torn is much worse than strained: this will take a couple of months to fully heal. Kobe may not be MJ, but he has been money for the Lakers over and over. I give him his due, and you should, too!

He’s getting old. His body will continue to fail him. He has played longer than most since coming into the league at 18. Other teams are younger and more athletic. The Lakers haven’t done a good job reloading. Most people outside of LA are cheering about that!
