If you read PBT (and by definition you do) then you knew this was coming, but now it is officially here — the Nets have re-signed power forward Kris Humphries.

This is a one-year contract worth a little more than $7 million. So, longer but not as lucrative as his marriage. Here are Humphries thoughts, via Andy Vasquez of the Bergen Record.

“I feel like I’m home, man.”

This is a good signing for Jersey as it gives them a solid inside presence — 10 points at an efficient 54.4 shooting percentage last year plus he pulled down boards at 10.4 per game, which made Brook Lopez look lazy — while preserving cap space for next year.

The Nets have their second preseason game Wednesday, Humphries may or may not get a little run in that, but he will be good to go for the season opener Dec. 26.

Well, at least now he’ll be able to afford a pot to…um, cook in.

So who is making more? Kris or Kim-slut-Kardashian?

Humphries just needs to go play ball, stay out of the media circus. Heard Tony Siragusa on Dan Patrick show talking about doing Humphries “man cave”, and he said Humphries came across as a naive kid, but a super nice guy.

Humphries is a veteran role player, he might have a solid few years ahead of him. He would fit in on a team as a 7th or 8th man about 20-22 minutes a night as his career moves forward.
