Because the Hornets had great defensive coaching, an adequate(at least) defensive center, and players willing to buy into the system to become a better defensive team. Johnson may stress defense, but it doesn’t seem to be working well enough with the Nets’ players. Also, there was more familiarity. CP3 and West had been together for years, unlike Deron/Brook. I’d like to see D-Will lead the Nets to a playoff spot, but right now it seems highly unlikely.

All u Net haters fallback the Nets are goin 2 the playoffs. They have a top 3 pg and good role players and a coach that stresses defense unlike that Knicks coach. If CP3 can lead the Hornets in a tough western conference why can’t D-Will do it.

Sure, they picked Deron over Sloan to trade him 2 weeks later…

Everyone involved said Sloan decided to retire. He was not forced out. He’s always said things as they are, and if he was in any way forced to retire or fired, he would’ve said so when asked about it. He’s never been afraid to call anyone out, and he wasn’t going to make an exception with the Jazz management if they really fired him.

I should hope he would be grumpy if the lose a lot!! The goal should be to win games, and then if good enough, playoff series and a title. But, if a team isn’t winning, the player shouldn’t be happy about that.

Whether or not you want to claim he is a problem player, this bit of news does not make him a problem player. ALL players should want to win and be angry/upset/pissed/grumpy when they don’t win.

The Knicks are going to serve them up again on Wed.

It seems like everybody outside of NY thinks its a big deal that they’re moving to Brooklyn, or that Jay Z owns a percent in the team, but nobody around NY cares.

Sorry no buzz here, the Nets stink, they will always stink and the new building will be as empty as it is now.
