He was impressive last night no doubt. A lot better than his rather unimpressive stat lines in the Euro leagues. The whole Minny team looked impressive. K-Love, slimmed down, could be an all-star starter this year. And Derrick Williams has a shot a ROY. It’s too soon to tell, but this young squad is loaded with talent and fresh legs. In a condensed season, they may have a shot at a playoff spot.

There’s also a good chance all these dudes jump ship the minute they become FA’s, but that’s to be expected, isn’t it?

I was impressed for someone’s first ever NBA game, very fun to watch and it will only get better as he starts getting used to the speed of NBA basketball. His defense is a little sketchy though as he seemed lost out there most of the time. Shaun Livingston was having his way with him for the most part. I hope that improves because Ricky and JJ were a nice back court combo, and Ricky would have to guard the 2 spot if that continues. As far as the team, way too many turnovers and they up gave way too many offensive rebounds, RA has his work cut out for him. Sure, wolves blew them out but the 3′s aren’t always gonna fall like they were Saturday night.

And, by the way, the basketball world is bigger than NBA. Ricky could be differente things, but is not the first game he plays. He start playing at 14 (!!!!) on ACB and he has won 2 Leagues, 1 Euroleague, 1 Eurobasket, Olympic Silver medal and 1 Eurobasket Championship.

I know, i know, he still has to debut on NBA, but this is not his first alley-oop…

No he is not. Read the entire paragraph. He’s saying Rubio could be great, he could be good against bad teams, he could be average, or he could be bad. The point of the paragraph is that we don’t even have an approximation of where Rubio’s ceiling and floor is yet, but it will be fun to watch him play to see how good he actually is.
