Video: Watch Blake Griffin learn about CP3 trade

Dec 15, 2011, 12:12 PM EDT

The Clippers were doing a bus tour with fans on Wednesday right as word started to leak out about the Clippers trading for Chris Paul.

Watch the reaction of DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin, who realized they were about to become half of a couple of the best pick-and-roll tandems in the NBA.

Elsewhere, off camera, things don’t go quite as well for Eric Gordon.

I feel bad for Gordon. He’s been a great player who will now be playing for a dead-end franchise in New Orleans.

Yeah, it was real nice of those two to cheer his departure within earshot. I know they’re excited, but come on, a teammate’s life was just given a 180 and you’re celebrating right near him. Way to be douches.

I agree, it shows how much they really care about Gordon who has been easily one of their best players in recent history.

Gordon must not be that popular…lol

    Nice Professionalism in the NBA.

They were cheering the trade but AFTER the jumping around they thought to ask who got traded. I doubt they thought someone with them was gonna get shipped. Notice how he said “WHOA” as they were talking

Wow….look at all you foolish posters. Have your forgotten you’re talking about million dollar atheletes who play the game of basketball and part of their million dollar careers is being able to be moved and traded at a moments notice unless your contract specifies otherwise.

EACH AND EVERY PLAYER KNOWS THIS. You suddenly feel bad for a player leaving the Clippers? SINCE WHEN DID PEOPLE FEEL SORRY FOR PEOPLE LEAVING THE CLIPPERS?!

More often than not, players get to start their professional carrers after they spend purgatory with the Clippers before than can be moved to a real franchise.

It’s a business folks, stop feeling sorry for millionaires, they sure as hell arnt feeling sorry for you.

    • willardj - Dec 15, 2011 at 4:54 PM

They aren’t feeling sorry for you?

I’m sure that’s why each NBA player has their own charity and are always holding events for the fans. Hell, the Clippers were holding a tour with season ticket holders just in this post.

Yea, that’s why you can see 3 Clippers players and 4 fans standing around.

The Clippers franchise couldn’t fill a damn Scion full of Clippers fans

        Get real dude
