Is Howard waiting to see where Chris Paul goes? If I were Howard and had a chance to play for the next “x” years with a true point guard like CP3, I’d show a little patience too.

1. Kobe and Dwight are two different types of players with two different personalities.
2. Kobe had no leverage. They weren’t going to trade him anyway.
3. “Small market” was explicitly stated.

I said that I can’t ever remember a superstar threatening to leave a *small market* team and then staying. I was very specific with that choice of words because I definitely remember the Kobe trade demands.

I think there’s a better chance of me getting a date with Allison Brie than Dwight Howard staying in Orlando.

I can’t recall one situation where a star player on a small market team has sent strong signals that he’s going to leave the team, going as far as to ask to be traded, and then ultimately stayed with that franchise.

Yea, Howard softened his stance the other day when he talked about how much he loves Orlando and blah blah blah. But of course he’s going to say that. Howard is a nice guy and he doesn’t want to stomp on the franchise that drafted him, so he’s gonna be nice and say the right things about how he loves Orlando.

But look at the big picture.

- He’s already made trade requests.
- There was the [not so] secret meeting with the Nets just before training camp
- Orlando’s roster, frankly, just doesn’t have the types of good young pieces who will help Howard continue to win big in the future. New Jersey does in Deron Williams.

I feel bad for Magic fans, but he’s as good as gone.

Wake up Avery. Mikhail P is more focused on running for Russian Presidency. If he becomes the president, the only player the Nets will be able to sign is Kirilenko, Mikhail P will demand it

Nets are shooting themselves in the foot waiting on Howard. Now Nene resigned with Denver and they will pretty much have the same roster. The season ends with a 1st round defeat to one of the top 4 teams in the east and then Deron Williams will not resign with the Nets and they will be left with Brooke Lopez. Either push this Howard trade aggressively or sign someone else to help your team. By the time Howard says I am staying with the Magic, the Nets will end up with the short end of the stick.
