IN MY HUMBLE OPINION I THINK ITZ RATHER PREMATURE TO SCORE DUO ON A SCALE OF ONE TO TEN. I MEAN THE FACT THEY ARE BOTH ACES DOSNT GUARANTEE THEIR PERFECT COLABO. YEAH, I HOP THEY GET ON IT PRETTY FAST BUT WE SHLD WAIT TO SAVOUR THE THRILL.

the way the trade looks it looks like a steal this his just a steal but atleast for the hornets that pick is the timberwolfs and its unprotected so they wolfs could have the first pick and it would be the hornets pick for the future star such as jared sullinger or austin rivers

You’ve bought David Stern’s lies hook line and sinker if you truly believe he stopped the Lakers trade just because he wanted to get a better deal for the Hornets.

We already know for a fact that isn’t true. He stopped that deal because small market owners complained about a big market getting another star. Every reporter covering this thing has confirmed this.

And it’s not just Lakers fans upset who were upset about this. If you’ve paid any attention to this story throughout the week, you’d know that people across the country were extremely angry about how Stern handled that situation. It was a gross abuse of power by him done for all the wrong reasons.

And by the way, the consensus is that the Lakers trade offer was NOT a bad deal, so stop saying that was a “bad trade.” GM’s around the league were giving Dell Demps a pat on the back for negotiating that initial trade.

The current deal MAY turn out to be better, but that’s hardly a guarantee. Eric Gordon is obviously a lock to be very good, but the Timberwolves draft pick could turn into another Adam Morrison and Aminu may never get any better.

Is Al-Foroug that much better then any player offered in the Lakers deal? “NO QUESTION ABOUT IT”

The Lakers as a team are real good but without Kobe the players offered in the Lakers deal was peanuts for CP3. This makes much more sense fot the Hornets.

No way Jose. He did the right thing. This is a much better deal for the Hornets. MUCH. David stoped a bad trade for aging players for a Franchise player. Only Laker fans think they got screwed and David Stern had abused his power. It looks like he turned around and got a good deal for the Hornets now.

Now where are the haters of David Stern that he proved to be one smart cookie?

If the deal is better, and it is far better for the long-term health of the Hornets, then the NBA Owners look like geniuses for not allowing the Lackers deal. The only people complaining about this deal are spurned Lackers fans. Sane NBA fans see this for what it is…a great trade. if anything, giving up both Gordon and the #1 pick is insane value for the Hornets.

how come nobody is mentioning CP’s free agency. what if he doesn’t re-sign and your future is gone? don’t like this trade in terms of management decision. it will be extremely entertaining however and now the world will really get to see Paul’s talent.

To be perfectly fair, Kurt, Craig, John, and the rest of the sports are leeching off the awesome format that Mike Florio created in ProFootballTalk.com and sold to NBCsports…who then brought in all the other blogs. Not saying they aren’t talented but let’s not assume they built these blogs from scratch because they didn’t. They have the NBCSports powerhouse advertising them and the PFT.com format to make them attractive.

Not an unprotected lottery pick though. Try to get past all your Stern hate to realize that the other owners smashing the Lackers trade was a good thing. At the end of this season, the Hornets should be getting two top-5…top-10 at worst…picks in the deepest draft in a long time. Team don’t usually get better until they bottom out, and the Hornets are better off winning 15 games than they are finishing .500 and getting the 13th pick in the draft.

Would they have been better THIS YEAR with the Lackers trade? 100% YES. Would they have been better in THREE YEARS with the Lackers trade? 100% NO!!!

I can’t believe people think the Lakers deal was a good one, you are all insane. It was horrible. Odom, Scolia and Martin make a less deep version of last years Rockets who missed the Playoffs with a hall of Fame coach. People ride the Lakers **** and love hating Stern. Not that I am a stern fan but the first deal leaves the Hornets a perpetual 8th seeds, the Bobcats with Wallace and SJ, etc. This is a FAR, FAR, FAR superior deal for NO and anyone who cant see that is a fool.

Chris Paul is a great pick up but they don’t have any reliable or athletic shooting guards.
Mo Will is going to have a hard time coexisting with CP3 because of his “I’m the star” personality!
It’s hard to see this team scoring over 100 unless Deandre J starts stepping up on the offensive side or they start stopping teams on the offensive end.
The Chris Paul and Blake Griffin combo is nice
but you’re going to need alot more pieces…go ask John Stockton and Karl Malone.
