Lakers are in a lot of trouble. They were beginning to look like an old team already and now lose more depth. Where is the scoring going to come from on that second unit?? That means the starters will be forced to play more minutes. With the condensed schedule, there are going to be some tired legs. I predict a major slip for the Lakers – maybe a 5th or 6th seed and bounced in the first round. Then, the whole team is blown up minus Kobe.

wasn’t that impressed by Caracter last year. We need to upgrade the frontcourt depth regardless of his injury.

therealhtj you’re right I hope the Lakers stay under the tax, and Paul and Howard still get traded.

The owners need to understand when you get back an extra 300 BBBBBBillion over 10 years there will be status quo with the freedom of stars to move. Elite talent is the one bargaining chip players have.

Looks like the legue’ll get it’s wish. Lakers out of contention and hoarding their $150mil annual TV deal. Tough to get any revenue sharing out of the Lakers when they don’t go into the Luxury tax. Hell without the Lakers expected overspending, the rest of the league’s owners are gonna have to dig deeper into their pockets and cough up that 10% escrow money too. Congrats Dan Gilbert! Hope you got what you wished for.
