Tuesday morning one liners (we’re talking haircuts)

Dec 13, 2011, 10:25 AM EDT

Our morning look around the NBA with stories worth reading and notes that are not their own post here at PBT.

The 50 worst haircuts in NBA history. Vladimir Radmanovic is way too low at No. 12.

Despite the reports to the contrary, the Nets do not have a deadline to get Dwight Howard or get out of the sweepstakes. The Magic are not working on anyone’s timetable but their own.

Pat Riley says the Heat remind him of the Showtime Lakers.

Amare Stoudemire has become self aware.

Brian Scalabrine is back as a Bull for one more season. Bulls fans rejoice because the White Mamba is back.

Omri Casspi had a minor knee injury in practice (he bumped knees with Luke Harangody) and will be out a few days.

Charlotte, Detroit, Sacramento, Denver, Toronto all have interest in Reggie Williams. Do not confuse this with a bidding war.

Anthony Parker has re-signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Meanwhile the Raptors have signed Anthony Carter. That takes care of all the key Anthony free agents.

Josh Smith says he is going to shoot fewer threes this season. I’ll believe it when I see it, but Larry Drew prays Smith isn’t kidding.

The 76ers traded season tickets for twitter handles. They seem serious about these new mascots.

Stephen Jackson was on fire at media day, as only he can be.

Sasha Pavlovic is back with the Celtics for another season.

JaVale McGee looks good at Wizards training camp. We’ll wait until he’s done it for half a season before thinking about getting on any bandwagons.

The Celtics signed rookies JaJuan Johnson and E’Twaun Moore on Monday.

Danny Ainge is still looking for a reliable center. I hear Oklahoma City has one… oh, yea. Sorry.

How the Atlanta Hawks are like a Jean-Claude Van Damme movie.

The Rockets are thinking about using their amnesty clause on Hasheem Thabeet.

Wizards fans want a Nick Young update, here is a Nick Young update. Or what there is of one.

Andrei Kirilenko is still deciding whether to stay in Russia or come back to the NBA, but if he does come back the Kings may be in the running.

Rumors are still floating around that Rudy Fernandez will ask the Mavericks to let him return to Europe. They will not by the way. These rumors pretty much all come out of Europe, but we pass them along.

The Celtics are not looking good this year. Danny can’t swing anything bigger than a Davis-Bass trade, Jeff Green isn’t in shape (and he’s supposed to be the future of this team?!), Rondo is going to play all sad and dejected again, and our three best players are ye olden tymers.

That list of 50 worst ‘dos is invalid. Not a single Rick Fox or Detlef Schrempf entry? No way.

That guy looks like an NHL enforcer from the 80’s

    Where to begin….

    1. It is so unbelievably sad that the news articles concerning my 76ers pertain to mascots and not players. Ouch.

    2. Look at the “worst haircuts” and tell me which one is clearly worse…a very normal looking Scottie Pippen or #9(cover photo). The mullet takes the cake by a landslide.

    3. Olowakandi was clearly puffin’ on a fatty before his picture was taken (This would also explain his unwillingness to comply with proper hair upkeep.)

Did you hear that? Riley said he thinks the Heat are like the Showtime Lakers!

I cannot believe he would have the audacity to compare his Heat team to his Lakers team.

    BOOOOOOOO Miami!!!! BOOOOOOOO Miami!!!!

What has Riley ever done? I’m going to burn my Armani Suit in the streets of LA for the TV cameras
