Miami failed to deliver partially because of the lack of depth, Orlando had their worst playoff performance after reaching NBA finals and conference finals the last two years respectively. So basically bench is really important.

But what can we expect from someone who tags Chicago’s bench as bad? Exactly.

What is this writer talking about? No one in the NBA believes Crawford’s a point guard. They’re trying to bring him in to be an offensive weapon off the bench. Just like how other teams in the league view him.

Chicago’s bench was what made that team so successful despite losing Noah & Boozer for extended stretches of time. DRose is amazing, but he can’t win every game by himself. The Knicks starters will be able to hang with any team, but when those guys are taking a breather, they’re going to get killed.

Speaking as a fan of an eastern conference rival, I love this trade! This is going to be the most undisciplined, every man for himself, who can chunk up the most shots the quickest, offense in the league. The Knicks truly need a floor general to maximize the potent offensive weapons they possess.

Exactly how good was Miami’s, Chicago’s and Orlando’s benches last season? If Crawford is NY’s 6th man, with Shumpert/and or Bibby coming off the pine too, that doesnt sound like too much of a “nightmare” to me, or most other Eastern Conference teams.
