Its not about Curry not being as good as Chris Paul. Truth of the matter is the only people truly in Paul's league as a NBA player is Lebron, Wade and Howard. Players who are elite on both sides of the ball, and are still in the prime of their careers. However, the Warriors would be beyond dumb to trade away a young top 25 player in the league for a guy who has openly stated that he will not sign an extension. Why trade the future of your franchise for 66 games? How does that make sense? Curry will be a Warrior for another 5 years if GS wants him, and he's easily one of the top players in the league. Its a no brainer, don't trade young talent for a guy who won't commit.

Because too many homer GSW fans are too in love with Curry, they're so hesitant to lose him. I suspect you're exactly the same type of guy I'm referring to because you've just jump to his defense.
This deal should go through only if CP3 wants to sign an extension. If not, screw CP3 and the deal. Get Tyson Chandler aboard and keep the starting 5 with Curry, Ellis, Wright, Lee and Chandler. Warriors bench will be much deeper if the trade doesn't go through with R. Williams, Admundson, Udoh, Thompson. With the tweaked scheduling this year, you better have a good bench due to the high amount of games in the shorter amount of time. You ride your starters too much this year and you'll pay dearly.

The Warriors should not trade Curry for Paul unless he agrees to an extension (which he wont). He wants to be a Knick and this Chandler nonsense seems to be a way to hoax people into overpaying for his buddy. So over bid for Chandler... get Paul for a year... then you get to watch him leave for New York first chance he gets. Teams shouldnt give the Hornets anything because teams like the Warriors cant just replace a guy like Curry. Small market or non-destination franchises have to be careful with their young assets.

If the inclusion of Curry is holding up a deal for Chris Paul, the Warrior's front office is a joke. Curry may be a fan favorite, but he is replaceable. There are plenty of shooters around the league.

It seems no one is tlaking about Paul's bum knee. I remember b4 NO traded Collison they were entertaining the thought of going with him at pg and trading Paul, cuz supposedly Paul's injury would seriously limit his career and he was never going to be the same player. Its not as dire as say B. Roy's situation, but teams are considering giving up key players to go with CP3 long term now.
