I’m worried that if the Warriors get him and Chandler, that CP3 would still leave for another team the following season. Then we would lose a key player in Curry and the affordable upside of Klay Thompson. At the end of the day, these top tier players want to continue to decide where they play and who they play with. That means CP3 eventually ends up with the Knicks or Lakers…though the Knicks make more sense because Kobe always wants the ball and so will CP3. Don’t get me wrong…I want a player of his caliber…but not for a single shortened season rental.

If the Hornets will go into a giant rebuilding mode instead of trying to reload with a deal for another star, that Clippers deal looks pretty damn good and they could maybe squeeze more out of it. If they make that deal, the Hornets will most likely earn a high lottery pick of their own, one maybe even in the top 3 rang, as well as another one from the Twolves that is unprotected that could also very well be a high lottery pick. With how loaded this draft is. DeAndre Jordan is a nice piece as well, I don’t know how I feel about aminu yet, and the jury is still out on Eric Bledsoe, who looks to have a pretty good amount of potential.

It’s going to be really interesting to see where Chris Paul and Dwight Howard go when everything is finished. All these rumours are quite a tease. It would be nice to see Chris Paul and D12 stick in their respective cities but I have a hard time seeing that happen. D12 knows he can’t win a championship without a legitimate wing guy/point guard and Chris Paul knows he needs a legit big man. Making the playoffs won’t cut it for them anymore and after seeing these guys teaming up you know they’re going to do whatever they can to find a situation as similar to that as possible. If they don’t get something done before the season starts I wonder how much of a distraction this is going to be during the season.

Amare already plays the 4 in NY. Turiaf is the 5 right now. Not saying Chandler wouldn’t be a great upgrade at centre, but the Knicks don’t have the money to pay him anyway.

The difference is these guys are being up front with the team about their intentions. Lebron let the Cavs believe they had a shot with him, and then left them at the alter without so much as a heads up phone call. He basically handicapped the franchise because they couldn’t go after any big time free agents as they would want assurances from Lebron he would be there with them and he wasn’t telling so they were left scrambling to make bs trades to try and make him happy.Carmelo let the Nuggets know up front he wasn’t going to sign long term and it looks like CP3 is doing the same. Lebron handled his business like a punk, period.

@tillman40 totally agree with you…I’d rather I’ll use that cap space on a bunch of players instead of Chris Paul…we need size and interior presence which is something Chris Paul doesnt give us…I’d love to see the Knicks pick up Tyson Chandler or deandre Jordan so we can move amare back to the 4 where he belongs

So Paul and Howard have anyway on their contracts. They make it clear they’re gone after the season.Force their teams to tradevthem for cents on the dollar. Conspire with other stars to try to set up “superteams”, and nobody cares? Nobody thinks what these guys are doing is worse what Lebron did? Lebron (and Bosh) fulfilled his contract and worked out deals so their old teams could sign them and tradevthem for 1st round picks and cap space. Lebron and Bosh got KILLED all year and continue to get ripped. Paul, Howard, Carmelo? Nothing.
