Korver is streaky but a good outside shooter, Brewer is a good perimeter defender. But neither is starting material. Jason Richardson would be great in our system (for being in the Bulls budget) and as stated, wants a ring in the time he has left. As far as Taj Gibson goes, I think his potential is great, I personally would rather have him over Boozer. Joakim would be missed for his hustle and ability to get teammates amped up.

I seriously think that Dwight wants a title more than to be the “face.” With that said, I dont see him having a problem going anywhere, so long as he can win an NBA title.

Chicago is also a huge market as well. But i agree that LA or NYC is a much bigger place to market NBA. Chicago is VERY COOOOLD!! Nothing at all like Orlando. BUT I really believe that if he wants to win a title, he’ll go where the talent is.

Lets not forget the golden rule about trading:

better to trade a year early than a year late

That being applied to Luol Deng. I loved that he finally took more 3′s and he’s always been a great defender. BUT, this is the first time in a long time that he’s managed to stay healthy all season long and seriously contribute to winning more than a few games. With that said, I’d say its time for the Bulls to move Deng ASAP before he starts to get back to the injury plagued cash cow that never did anything but shoot long 2′s and warm the bench.

If anyone even tries to compare Dwight Howard to Joakim Noah, they are basketball stupid. Noah is a great hustle player and excellent rebounder, but he gets pushed around too easily (especially by the healthy Bogut) and he is injury prone with his feet, knees. Not to mention that Noah has a horrible shot. Meanwhile, Dwight has kept the Magic in contention for the playoffs. Sure he has a horrible free throw %, but he still gets to the line and he has better post moves than Boozer or Noah could dream of.

Bottom line is that this may be the last chance for the Bulls to get out of basketball hell and be good enough to beat the elite teams (lakers, heat, mavs). Otherwise, the Bulls will only be good enough to get into the playoffs, but not good enough to win a title A.K.A. Basketball Hell

Obviously you wouldn’t lead with that, but it’s a start. Reddick’s inclusion–while beneficial, because we all saw Kyle Korver in the playoffs–is more of a match up the money deal. But they’re not giving up any size. Noah and Howard are the same height (though D12 plays much bigger), Turkoglu would replace Deng (and he’s actually bigger than Luol), and the 6’9″ Taj Gibson would move into the 4-spot for the 6’9″ Boozer (who plays like he’s 4’2″). You could even start Brewer or Bogans over Reddick (or move one of them, with Jimmy Butler the two-guard would be a little crowded). You’re not giving up pieces for Turkoglu and Reddick, you’re giving up pieces to team Dwight f*****g Howard with Derrick Rose for the next ten years or so.

I do agree with your lists, but one thing that should be on the “Things against LA:” is people will forever and always compare him to Shaq…which I don’t think Dwight wants.

Here’s stuff that Howard has to consider…

Things for Chicago: Championship Tradition, Worldwide Brand, Giant Fanbase, Huge Market, Marketing possibilities for Adidas’ two biggest stars, Derrick Rose (in his prime), Great Defensive Coach, and he’ll get to throw the first pitch at a Cubs game (j/k)

Things against Chicago: Chicago is not LA (glamor), Chicago is not Orlando (warm weather), we will have to play Miami before the finals, and he doesn’t get to be the only “face.”

Now, LA can offer a lot of these things too. His marketing potential will skyrocket in any major market. Weather shouldn’t be a factor. The whole “face” argument is out the door, because as long as Kobe plays in LA, he’s the “face.” Tough decision for sure, but I see these two as the front runners.

nah, with the Kobe era coming to a close in a few years, they are going to need more than CP3. They have to pursuit D12, because CP3 and Pau aren’t gonna raise a banner by themselves.

I think they think about all the variables but at the end of the day, GM’s are constantly under pressure to get W’s and fill seats, oh and try to win a ring. But I agree Bynum is not enough in return but since they are bound to wait until the deadline to make a move, Bynum & L.O might be the best offer still on the table.

Blue, stop it! why would you give up all that size to get Turkoglu and Reddick? The Bulls already have Korver so getting JJ doesn’t make sense, and being strapped to Turkoglu’s contract inhibits any future moves. Who becomes your 4? And you gave up picks too! Dam! Basically it’s Orlando in red uni’s….I love D12 but that isn’t good business sense and it’s definitely not a championship team.

I would love to see Jamal Crawford go to the Chicago Bulls. He would compliment Derrick Rose perfectly and would provide that extra scoring and depth that they need. He can also create his own shot, shoot consistently, and pass the ball which means that when D. Rose gets caught in those double teams, he would be the second option to go to and it would basically be a “pick your poison” type scenario for other teams. Also, with a healthy Boozer and Noah and the same roster, the Bulls could possibly win a title this season!

Dont know why Orlando would go for Bynum..He has a history of bad knees..They would never get eneough value in return with him. Howard doesnt miss games, Bynum will. This is exactly how franchises get in trouble. They dont think about everything

Both players are aware of our financial limitations, yet are still interested. The good thing about players in their 30′s are their shifting priorities. Butler wants more than his complimentary ring (plus Dallas is only offering a 1 year deal). JRich is in search of his first ring, and after making 14 mill last year he should have a championship or bust mentality this year.

They’re not gonna be able to afford either of them, or any elite SG (Maybe G. Hill, but he’s on his last legs). Go back to what I said the other day: Noah/Boozer/Deng/picks for Howard/Turkoglu/Reddick. That’s a starting lineup of Rose, Reddick, Turkoglu, Gibson, and Howard, with the same deep bench as before. Howard inside, Rose driving, and Turkolgu and Reddick spotting up on the wings? With the kind of defense the bench plays? I like those odds.

is Omar really a decent replacement for jokim? and Deng was a pretty solid perimeter shooter in the playoffs. it would be a good trade, I just wonder how the team will look. kourver, Brewer, Gibson???

Don’t immediately write this off. The Bulls have been here multiple times, presumptively on the precipice of adding a legitimate superstar to tag-team with Rose (Lebron last offseason, Kobe on multiple offseasons). I’d like to think that GarPax is going to seal one of these deals, finally.

Howard doesn’t have a great post game so Rose’s cutting to the basket and finding would play well to his strengths offensively the DWill finding him in the post. Plus Rose really has no other great option on the team.

If Rose had a target, a threat in the post who could score in the paint over opponents taller than 6′ 6″, you would see just how well he distributes the ball. Plus he averaged almost eight assists with only one other reliable scorer in Luol Deng. I’m not getting my hopes up, dont think it would really happen. Rose and Howard would be disgusting!

Let the rumors commence! When can players be traded? I like Howard and D-Will better than Howard and Rose personally, Williams is a better distributor than Rose, and less selfish with the ball.
