Wednesday morning one liners: Portland loves Brandon Roy

Nov 30, 2011, 11:40 AM EDT

Portland Trail Blazers v Los Angeles Lakers

Do not underestimate the love of the Blazers fan base for Brandon Roy, or how that could weight into plans to use the amnesty clause on him.

Carlos Boozer thinks the Chicago Bulls can win an NBA title. This year.

How desperate are the Knicks for a big man to take a one year deal? They actually wouldn’t mind Andris Biedrins if Golden State uses the amnesty clause to free him.

The Pacers are reportedly going to make a run at Jamal Crawford. A lot of teams are going to make a run at Crawford.

Glen Grunwald likely will remain as the GM of the New York Knicks this season. No pressure, just make sure you land Chris Paul or you get kicked to the curb.

Why David Lee would be a better choice for the Warriors to use their amnesty clause on than Andris Biedrins.

I have a soft spot for the Hawks Jeff Teague, but he confounds all of us sometimes.

Evan Turner admits he had a hitch in his shot last season, but says it has been worked out. Sixers fans, head to church and light a candle for that one.

Jonas Jerebko said that he would “love” to return to the Pistons. He’s a restricted free agent.

Kim Kardashian punched Kris Humphries during their brief marriage and it was caught on film. If you care. I don’t.

Watch the video of J.R. Smith dropping 36 in a game in China, where he is staying for the rest of the season. (Thanks to nba247365.com)

Michael Jordan’s game-worn 1985 All-Star Game Nikes are up for auction.

Spud Webb is going to coach strippers to play basketball. Top that.

“How desperate are the Knicks for a big man to take a one year deal? They actually wouldn’t mind Andris Biedrins if Golden State uses the amnesty clause to free him.” He’d be a good fit in that system.

Agreed. The Knicks need someone that can defend the basket and pull down the boards, and let Amare do his thing from the PF position. Biedrins would be that guy. He’s not lighting up the scoreboard anytime soon, but he gives you a defensive presence that is sorely lacking in NYK.
