Does anyone look at facts anymore? Look at what the Bulls did well offensively as a team – only one thing: offensive rebounding, and they were great at it. How much of that are you putting on the PG? They were phenomenal at defense, especially defensive rebounding. Considering Rose was by far one of their least effective defenders and is a non-factor on the glass, I’m real curious how everyone then concludes he was carrying this team.

Oh yeah, highlights. Thank god the refs got them past that flimsy Indy club in the playoffs or Rose’s really stupidly high amount of shots would have sank the #1 seed in round 1.

And by “only offense” you mean the all-too-common situation where one player takes way too many shots–causing his own shot selection to get worse and others to not be as comfortable with the ball so they also get worse at shooting–so we just assume he’s getting no help. He shoots too much, especially on a team where virtually everyone has a better eFG%, a situation that was even more exaggerated during the playoffs.

They’re called facts, people. They’re available to everyone and are allowed to be the basis for your opinions.

His defense was much improved.

When you are scoring 7 more points and dishing 2 more assists a game naturally your TOs are going to increase.

And yes he takes a lot of shots but I can’t recall any analyst or writer questioning his shot selection, if only because his supporting cast. You clearly aren’t watching any basketball.

And to call into question Rose’s work ethic is absurd. I definitely cannot recall that ever being questions because its simply never happened. Get a clue you hack.

Sorry, too easy. I’m kidding. Rose is sick. Love his work ethic and demeanor. He’s been working on his jumpshot nonstop since he got into the league, and I expect it to get better. Gonna keep a close eye on the Bulls this year; if they’re healthy from the start and Thibs has the D back at the same level, they’re going to be scary.

We’re talking about the youngest MVP in history, who is responsible for turning around a struggling Bulls franchise, leading them to the best record in the league last year and to the ECF and you guys are talking internet hooker rumors (how old r u anyway)? He has improvements to make like any other player or human. The man just turned 23 like 5 minutes ago. List your accomplishments after 23 years. Give him that money, then he might finally have the incentive to work on his shot selection (FG% and eFG% dropping, especially in playoffs), turnover issues (A-TO rate is really bad for PG gotten worse from rookie season), and defensive malaise – things he apparently hasn’t felt the need to address in his 1st three years.
