CP3 in Philly…..Has a nice ring to it. Could be done with the young talent sixers can package. He would make the sixers an instant conference leader.He would own Philly and make them forget AI. Big market, just waiting for a winner and could win a ring. Might give it serious thought.

Larry Bird to the rescue for the pathetic Celtics, just like McHale did back in 2007 (when he sold out the Timberwolves to help his old team).

OKC was right to tell the Celtics to stick their “trade” where the sun don’t shine.

No team wants the Celtics’ garbage.

With all of the “Rondo will be traded rumors” it’s starting to look it will have to happen. I wouldn’t be surprised if Rondo demands a trade since Ainge has decided he’s expendable.

I hate Boston with a passion, but this is just sad. Rondo is so good and outside of his broken J, the
kids got it all. I seriously hope that if he’s still around on the last year of his contract, he pulls a Carmelo/Paul/Howard/James on the Celtics ass and holds the team for ransom with his contract extension and flip flops and leads the C’s on if he’s gonna re-sign or not and then straight up dip on those suckers for putting him through this, leaving them high and dry!

letting him go in free agency would be a lot worse than trading him. That’s why the Melo deal happened. Franchises want to at least get something in return for an All-Star player, even if it’s a bunch of role players and draft picks.

Rondo for Russell is an absolute joke. I wouldn’t trade Westbrook for Rose.

Rondo is underrated by many because he isnt a scorer, he is a true PG. He sets up the scorers and plays solid D. And he is one of the best rebounding PG’s in the league. He is a triple double threat every night.

After this season, aren’t Pierce & Rondo the only players with significant money? I believe Garnett & Allen are in their final years. Why wouldn’t they be able to make another significant move? The only way this makes sense if he’s already decided he wants to play in either NY or LA. If so, then these moves are going to lead to an even further marginalization of the NBA’s popularity. The league can’t afford to have five super teams and 25 Washington Generals.

One other note — ESPN reports that the Celtics almost shipped Rondo to the Oklahoma City Thunder last year.

The Celtics didn’t almost trade Rondo to OKC anymore than I almost dated Scarlett Johanson. They may have wanted to trade Rondo for Westbrook (and hilariously undo the Green/Perkins trade), but the Thunder weren’t interested.

Knowing that he’s a mouthpiece for Maverick Carter and World Wide Wes means that this is CP3′s version of the “triangle offense”, where he can pressure the Hornets to trade him for peanuts to teams like the Knicks while giving interviews about how “my heart is in New Orleans.”

I’m about ready for the Hornets to publicly declare they’ll sit on his rights for the rest of the year and force him to make his move via free agency rather than put up with Melo 2 – Electric Boogaloo this season.
