I guess you don't watch the NFL. Teams come out of the blue and become TRUE contenders all of the time. The Saints, Cardinals, and Seahawks all either made it to or won a Super Bowl after years of obscurity. Look at the 49ers this year. Look at the Wild Card Packers last year. When was the last time an 8th seed won and NBA Championship? Don't worry, I'll wait. The Lakers and Celtics account for more then half the championships. The NBA is only entertaining from a player by player standpoint. The teams mean nothing. I'm a Hornets fan, as well as a Saints fan. I take comfort in knowing the Saints could win the Super Bowl any year. The Hornets will never see a championship series unless something changes about the NBA.

<b>"So much for the competitive balance this new CBA was supposed to offer."</b>

That's because it doesn't exist in any sport...at least in the way fans of small market fans want it to. Might as well say the new CBA didn't deliver unicorns either.

CP3 and Dwight will end up in LA. NO and ORL can get something for him this season if they're smart, or they can get max deals with the Lakers next year when LA amnesties a broken down Kobe and doesn't exercise Bynum's option. They'll probably have enough cap space to make a run at DWill too, especially if the Nets want to at least end up with a still viable Pau.

Clearly NY is the best destination for Paul. He's going to have a great system, whether it's D'Antoni or Phil Jackson.
He's playing with 2 stars in Amare & Melo & if you win in NY you make lots of money in endorsments. No brainer for Paul.

As a Clippers fans, I would tell Chris that Sterling is the cheapest owner in the NBA and he has the most paper. But, NY Knicks wont win a, Title anytime soon, so its something to think about.

Oh come on, he's not staying with the Hornets because they don't have an owner. He's leaving regardless because he wants to play for an always competitive large market with another superstar. They ALL want to do this if given the chance.

At this rate they should just cut half the teams in the league because the small market teams have no reason to exist except for being a highlight reel for the large market all-star teams.
