You have Morrow and Marshon Brooks. Brooks is a Crawford/Nick Young type on the cheap. Morrow is a better shooter than Crawford. Farmar is an equivalent ballhog. All are considerably cheaper.

I could see the Nets acquiring Chandler. Lopez has range out to 20 feet. Nene as well, although I wouldn’t love it.

They know they need to upgrade their defense, and so I see them being more interested in Kirilenko/Chandler/Nene/Prince types.

The Nets would be replacing Stephen Graham, Travis Outlol, Sasha Vujacic, and Kris Humphries with Tayshaun Prince, Jamal Crawford, and Nene, and this is a bad thing? Ok.

I’m not saying I like any of those guys, or a combination of them. I think Nene is a guy you acquire if you’re a playoff pretender trying to jump to the next level. Nene is a fit in Portland, or some place like that. The Nets would do better hoping Lopez rebounds from his poor showing last season. But saying this would make their problems worse is a huge stretch. It showcases a total lack of appreciation for how bad a majority of the Nets roster was last season.

Nene is a tough big man that Brook Lopez will never be…sure he can score buckets, but I’ve seen the guy get posted up by smaller forwards in the post…he has a scorers mentality with no desire to play defense. I’ve seen that guy stay away from a foul when his team is down 20 with mins to go on the 4th just so he can rack up his stats some more.
