if they had him instead of Steph Marbury coming off the bench a few years ago they would have beat the Magic…

they need a scoring INSTANT OFFENSE guard to come off the bench and score…

Delonte West, Von Wafer, Nate Robinson, Steph Marbary, etc… NO , I liked Nate , but Doc didnt like him…too much clowning around

Marbary had 1 good game off the bench with like 12 points in that Magic series of 2009…

lets also not forget Allen knows KG, Pierce, Ray Allen VERY WELL…. as they all were former locked all stars of the 2000′s….

I am assuming he could be 80% of what he was 2-3 years ago – so a workout would be in order to see what kind of shape he is in, how he’s moving, checking he attitude/head, etc. Celtics are old and only have 6 players under contract, so they will need some solid veterans willing to play important roles.

All of this once again presumes some form of intelligence and accepting of reality will take hold at some point in the current labor negotiations so we have a season to watch.
