Scalabrine says 2010-11 Bulls were “not really close” to winning a championship

Nov 2, 2011, 8:11 PM EDT

From CSN Chicago’s Aggrey Sam:

The always-entertaining Brian Scalabrine, currently playing in Italy for Benetton Treviso, recently did an interview with In it, he addressed a variety of topics, including last season’s Bulls team, which he described as “not really close” to winning a championship, in comparison to the two Boston Celtics teams he was a part of that made it to the NBA Finals.

“You lack experience at playoff level. Derrick Rose needs to go through the bumps and bruises of the playoffs to get over the hump,” said the popular reserve power forward, who won a title in 2008. “If you watched the games against Miami, the Heat knew how to get over the hump.
Dwyane Wade and LeBron James both have been in the finals and Dwyane has performed in the finals,” he continued, perhaps taking a subtle jab at the much-maligned James.

Michael Jordan had to get through the Pistons, and the Pistons had to get through the Celtics. It’s like once you go through that, then that’s when you become a better team.”

And Scalabrine was the guy wearing the suit at the end of the Bull’s bench all year.
Enjoy your time playing in a league that better suits your lack of skills.

For as “poor” as his skills are he probably has more in his pinky than you do in your whole body.

Speaking of pinky….. how is that man enhancement thing coming along for you?

Real clever. A penis joke. Never heard those before. I just love the tough man blog talk. Just saying Scalabrine would own you in a game of 1 on 1 and it wouldn’t even be close. The only thing you may have going better than him is that you may not be a ginger but this cannot be confirmed.

Funny thing is I don’t even like Scalabrine just tire of insults on athletes just because they aren’t Kobe, LBJ, or Wade.

Oh….was it cause you weren’t playing?

Nobody watched more Bulls games than Scalbrine.

This guy’s a joke. Every time they put him in….I just laugh

  6. blueintown - Nov 3, 2011 at 7:23 AM

Great, now Bulls fans will turn their wrath on him like he’s Scottie Pippen. He didn’t say anything insulting, and he didn’t say anything untrue. You don’t have to take your autographed Brian Scalabrine jersey out of it’s frame and burn it.
