The lack of business sense is just overwhelming. Without a full revenue stream (that’s an 82 game season) will lead to the owners and players losing money…having to refund cash to the various TV partners is something they’ll never get back, and they know it. It also messes with history and records and such.

No, they should play a 10 games season, and cut all the salaries down to that. That should still be plenty of money, if they don’t have to pay their posses or make it rain.
