He is a lot smarter than I thought. I now respect him inspite of his past stupidity.His agent should have walked away.

I agree his stock was high but he wasn’t mentally prepared for the NBA or life on his own, his mother moved to Manhattan, Ks to be close to him at K-State. Also remember he was expelled from the rookie camp because of pot. I think at least one more year of college and he would have been much more mature.

Most AAU coaches aren’t much more than pimps, pimping out the kids they take “control” over, and pretty much selling them to the highest bidder. Agents are about the same, anything to line their pockets.

Yeah, his AAU coach Delonte Hill was an assistant coach at UNC-Charlotte before Huggins stole him for a high paying assistant coach role up at K-State. That effectively took Beasley to K-State, and now this allegation of paying to have his mom moved to be closer to there just confirms it. As a Charlotte fan, I knew it was fishy when it all went down like that, but I feel bad for former coach Lutz who had a lot invested in Hill before he just left for K-State with arguably Charlotte’s best recruit in school history.

Not going to lie, it sucks that Beasley’s otherwise fine reputation might be sullied by this lawsuit. BUT it is quite refreshing to see someone actually own up to what he and others did.

Wonder who Beasley’s new agent is? If it is one of the bigger agents, who probably has done the same thing, had to advise him not to do this. I can’t believe the agent Beasley is suing didn’t drop the whole thing as soon as he got wind of the counter-suit.
