As a Knick fan I have faith that our stars they will commit or give an effort an play some defense. I see us as a second seed in the east this coming up season

Again, I love how people make such a huge deal about how poor of a defender Melo is, yet no one ever says that he’s a better defender than Dirk, and Durant. Yet Dirk won a championship and Durant was two forth quarter chokes away from making the finals. Yes the Knicks need to improve their defense. There is no debate there. But the fact that this site, and most other mainstream outlets continue to harp on the fact that melo is such an awful defender yet other players, like I named earlier, never get anywhere near the critisim that Anthony does. Why is that? Not to mention every Knick player isnt a bad defender. They needed a team defensive approach, which is why they brought in Woodson. Jeffries is an awful offensive player, but the only reason he’s in the league is due to his defense. Toney Douglass is a very good defender (check that stats, advanced please) and they drafted one of the better defenders in college last season, yet this all goes under the radar for most.

Im a Knick fan but melo you need to start to play better defense. As does the whole team. They sure arent gonna learn it with the coach we have now.

Now that is a dumb statement. Carmelo…Shane Battier would like to have a word with you. He’s got plenty of notebooks that would help you out, if you ever cared to learn more about defense.
