I think all the superstars should be there. I understand they are the ones that would not be hurt as bad, but they are the ones the league needs to look out for because they are the ones that make the league the most money.

Seriously though, why the superstar showcase? Those are the guys that already have, literally, tens of millions in the bank. It’s the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th guys down the bench that get penalized the most if the season gets cancelled. Why aren’t THEY the ones in the room? You think Kobe NEEDS that next $24.8 million (his ’10-’11 salary)? Between 1996 and 2011, Kobe has made $196.2 million IN SALARY ALONE. The guys that get hurt are guys like Derek Caracter and Devin Ebanks. Their projected salaries for 2011-2012 are each “only” $788,000.
