A little defensive maturity, and the Wizards are a playoff team. At the worst, they have some great tradeable assets (Blatche or McGee – there are a lot of teams who would gamble on either of those 2 players, and considering the Wizards have Vesely waiting in the wings, not much is lost).

If Josh Howard can return to form, the Wizards can roll out Wall, Young, Howard, McGee and Blatche, with Vesely, Crawford, Lewis, Booker, and Jianlin off the bench. That’s a very competitive team in 2 years. The Wizards are probably only going to win 25 – 28 games next season, but I’d much, much rather be in their situation, then say the Nets.
