I thought Euro teams covered taxes? So he’d be getting 15mil?
I don’t think he wants to play, but if someone wants to throw stupid money at him, he’d go for it.

Hey Kurt, any chance you can find out what it’ll cost to insure Kobe’s contract? My guess is the 7.5mil he’d be walking away with will barely cover it (and let’s not forget his agent’s cut). Without knowing how much it’ll cost to insure an aging, high-mileage, 33 year old with a shaky knee and busted hand, all these press-grabbing “offers” from Euro clubs are really a nothing more than publicity grabs.

Why stop at $15 mill Kobe, ask for $50 mil a year after taxes, players trying to milk ever dollar out of these other country teams!!!
