Michael Jordan’s golf bag is a reminder he is Michael Jordan

In case you ever ran into him out on the golf course and said “is that really Michael Jordan?” go check his golf bag in the back of the cart. (Although really, do you need to do that to confirm it is the most recognizable athlete on the planet? What’s wrong with you?)

The bag is a reminder that he is in fact, MJ — embroidery of each of his six Bulls championship rings as well as a silhouette of Air Jordan and a big Nike swoosh across the top. Check out the photo below (via TerezOwens). Yea, that’s MJ.

So this shows Jordan has a healthy ego… you needed the golf bag to confirm this? Really?

Did Jordan really use that as his golf bag? Wow. You know, I think we should setup a list of things that one must attain each and every single point before doing such an act. Lets begin.

    – must win 6 NBA championships
    – win the MVP more than once
    – make several NBA All-Star appearances
    – have a statue of yourself in front of the arena you won a championship with
    – have more rings than fingers on one hand
    – be the face of an NBA franchise
    – be the face of an NBA dynasty
    – be famous enough to create a worldwide brand
    – be famous enough for bloggers to complain about which golf bag you use

Who is to say that bag wasn’t given to him? Big deal! It lists SOME of his accomplishments. And when he is tired of that bag, it will end up drawing thousands of dollars in an auction to a collector.
