The money is the obvious part. As “gator” mentioned, a home game here at $600K, a home game there at $600K, pretty soon you’re talking real money. And if the lockout looks to effect that $25M contract, why not jump ship? Playing obviously takes a toll on the legs, but so does Father Time. Depending on how much longer you think Kobe can command top dollar for his services, this move to pasta-village might be right for him. It sure would send a loud, clear message to the league and the owners, wouldn’t it?
