I like the 3 round idea. Hate the last 8 picks in the 1st… idea. I’d hate to punish good teams for being, well, …good. It’ll force the owners and GM’s to do their damn jobs. 3 rounds isn’t a problem because while it’s true most 2nd rounders don’t survive, you can find gems. You don’t have to sign them, but it’s always nice to at least be given a chance. That doesn’t hurt anybody. Just give 3rd rounders something like a $100,000-$150,000/$200,000(max) a year non-garunteed contract for 1-2 years.

I don’t think the owners idea will help the bottom teams get better. It will just impair the ability of some marginal players to hook up with a team. The players idea almost sounds like too big of a gift to the lesser teams. I think the best option is to leave it alone.

An ESPN castoff being correct; especially when his prediction of a CBA forming before the start of the lockout was beyond ridiculous????!!!!!

They are okay with ONE round!!! Let the crappy teams get better by snatching the best of the rest with undrafted free agency starting after the 30th pick!!!
