Kurt, given the injuries to Billups and Amare you’re probably right. However, D’Antoni’s insistence on playing small ball leads to the Knicks having horrific defensive matchups that are made worse by his bad defensive game plans. For example, he has his guards force opposing players baseline, which is only a good strategy when you have shot blockers or at least someone who’s 7 feet tall to protect the rim. A simple tweak of the defensive approach to force opposing players to the middle of the lane instead of baseline where it easier for a small team to protect the rim by drawing charges would easily make the Knicks a better team.

Not sure that D’Antoni’s coaching was the reason the Knicks lost in the playoffs.

I could go on an on about this guys ineptitudes, not only was he thoroughly out coached in the playoffs. but i think we lost 12-15 regular season games because he was unprepared.non big using ass.

when in the first round his knicks defense makes paul pierce look like he is still in his prime…you shud be on the host seat

If i was the head coach of the knicks, and Dolan comes to an says i dont care what you do, dont play Marbury. Right there we have a problem.Now i dont know any of this to be fact i am assuming. but thats pretty gutless if so.
