Guess who’s coming to Melo league? Hint: It rhymes with “Neddy Whurry.”

New York Knicks Media Day 2010

I know you were probably excited for the Team Melo vs. non-officially-but-pretty-much Goodman League in the exhibition next month. It’s LeBron, and Melo, and Chris Paul, sharing a court against Kevin Durant and Brandon Jennings and the like.

But now, now we have a real reason for you to get excited. Ladies and gentlemen, from Hoopsworld:

Are you excited? Can you smell that? That’s the smell of a man who has lost 100 lbs. in the last six months. That’s the smell of a man who’s desperate to recover his career. That’s probably the faint smell of bacon grease being sweat off after having been stored for two years.

Curry’s being involved is great for his career. Getting in with James is the quickest way to pushing the Heat into signing him. Pat Riley will turn to him if he absolutely needs to but only if he has to. And if LeBron James says he has to, he has to.

Meanwhile, Curry could really have an advantage here. There are very few quality centers in the NBA, much less available on the open circuit. So Curry could put on a show and get some buzz for himself here. Good stuff for Curry in his comeback bid.

Um….. The HEAT need alot more then Eddie Curry but they do need a slim down and in-shape Eddie Curry to start off with.

The Heat need to go away….to an island, like in cast away….never to be heard from again.

What are you talking about? They need a lot more? They were 2 wins from winning the Championship. All they really need is for Lebron and Wade is to develop their games to better compliment each other. If Curry gives them help offensively that’s just gravy.

Miami needs to sign him up quick so he can let himself go to shit again.

And I don’t get the Eddy Curry hate. I mean, yeah, he got fat and out of shape. But look, you can’t tell me Jamaal Magloire is a better player.

Curry has shown he’s motivated, and plus he’ll be playing for a championship caliber team….not for a horrible coach in New York.

the eddy curry hates comes from bulls fans like me who are mad at jerry krause for drafting him over Jason Richardson, Shane Battier, JOE JOHNSON, Z-B0 AND EVEN TONY PARKER AND GILBERT ARENAS.

plus the guy never even tried to jump for a rebound.

he’s not on the Heat yet. and if the Heat went away to an island, the NBA wouldn’t attract anywhere near the amount of attention it has now. Heat + Hate = good ratings.

Good luck Eddie – this is your LAST chance so make the best of it.
