Christeca…Thank you. I’m just tired of the double standard. We had a officer ambushed and killed with a shotgun 7 days ago. White officer. Black perp and a shotgun ambush. Where was the national new coverage? Where was the public outcry? Where were the civil rights leaders demanding and investigation into this longstanding pattern of behavior. Where were the rioters shutting down the BART subways? It’s a horrible story period. Read the stats on black violent crime in America. I’m certain you’ll be able to make a few excuses.

Just about every day you can count on reading a terrible story about someone being murdered. I feel sad when I see those stories, but I’m rarely shocked by them because it happens all the time.

But for some reason I found myself genuinely disturbed when I read this headline. I guess sometimes we forget that these athletes we watch are people just like anyone else, and they are capable of terrible things like the rest of us.

Another NBA player in trouble with the law?

I am stunned, stunned I tell you.

Everyone knows what stand up, assets to their communities some of these guys are.

Maybe the lockout is beneficial after all. With all this extra time on their hands some of these upstanding boy scouts will now be able to weed themselves out of the league.

I say keep them locked out for around 5 years or so. The prison system may get a little crowded but the game itself will be better for it.
