Rapper The Game takes shot at LeBron, like everyone else

Is there anyone out there who has not gotten in their shot at LeBron and his hairline?

Dwight Howard did it the other day on national television, and now on rapper The Game’s soon to be released “The R.E.D. Album,” he and some fellow rappers give LeBon James some shoutouts the baller would probably prefer didn’t happen. Holly McKenzie at the Score found this line from Tyler, The Creator on a track called “Martians vs. Goblins” (follow that link and you can hear the song, lyrics are going to prevent me from posting it here).

“Fall back like LeBron’s hairline against the Mavericks / He lost”

But The Game himself went a lot harder.

“Then I hit LeBron’s mom in Bron-Bron’s coupe /
With Delonte West taping, we had bon-bons too /
With Cleveland cheerleaders, they had pom-poms too”

What will be funny is in a couple years, if LeBron wins a ring, he will be getting wild praise in song. Just watch. But right now he is in everyone’s firing line. And when it starts showing up on The Game albums, it is reaching mass market.

    The Delonte part is classic

    • mella21 - Aug 18, 2011 at 2:56 AM

It actually kind of wasn’t. The Game is whack..he talks more than any woman, just to hype his silly, floppin albums.

He’s famous for beefing with video girls for petes sake, he has no credibility. Jayz routinely just ignores all his constant jabs for attention. Dude even begged 50 cent to let him back into G-Unit. Lebron was pathetic in the finals, but he he needs to fail for a few more years to be on this lame’s level.

  2. rodge1 - Aug 16, 2011 at 1:23 PM

That’s pretty weak… Bet the Game wouldn’t go one-on-one with Lebron in basketball or the octagon… Funny how people are so brave behind microphones and keyboards.

    • denverhoopdreams - Aug 16, 2011 at 2:09 PM

What does the octagon have anything to do with this. Neither of them are professional fighters, and to just assume LeBron would automatically win the fight because he’s an athlete is absurd.

Not taking The Game’s side here because his diss song on Kanye and Jay-Z is whack as all hell..

    • micklethepickle - Aug 16, 2011 at 2:37 PM

C’mon, are you for real? So you believe that you’re only allowed to criticize someone if you’re their equal in their field? So, because I can’t swing a bat as well as Barry Bonds, I don’t have a right to say he’s a d-bag? Because I can’t beat Kevin Garnett in the paint (or anywhere on a court, for that matter), I’m not allowed to say he’s a big-mouthed jackass?

You must be the most restrained person in the world to never judge anyone for anything you couldn’t do better. Guess you must be an absolute saint when a spectator at professional events, and a complete dick at amateur ones. I bet rodge1 is the kind of guy that screams at little league kids to do better, since he could dominate them on the field/court.

Oh, but since I’m typing this on a keyboard, I’m just being ‘brave’ and my post has no merit. Until I become the best in the world at pointing out dumbass posts, rodge1 will never accept logic.

    • mashoaf - Aug 17, 2011 at 2:04 AM

Except the Game was on scholarship for college basketball and wrecked it for dealing. So, no I don’t think he is afraid to play some one on one.

      • mella21 - Aug 18, 2011 at 3:00 AM

lol, he was also on that dating show “Change of Hearts” back in the day and looked like a simp.

    • killface1981 - Aug 21, 2011 at 8:59 PM

LeBron wouldn’t go one-on-one against Barea or the Jet or Dirk in basketball and definitely not the Octagon against DeShawn Stevenson or a healthy Butler. Face it… the guy couldn’t score when he was isolated with the 38 year old Jason Kidd who gives up 5 inches, 40 pounds, and has a vertical of around 21 inches these days, couldn’t make a simple post up move on Barea who is 5’10, 175, and let Terry make him look the age that he actually looks. LeBron looks like he’s at least 34(even though he’s built like a tank on steroids with the receding hairline, acne, and caveman forehead to throw more suspicion his way), and Halem and Chalmers both outscored him the clutch. Poor guy… you know he and Wade are wondering how Dirk against those so-called superstars matched them point for point in the fourth quarters of the Finals.

Maybe the Heat should go get a point guard(not the zombie Bibby who’s been done for years now and can’t shoot, pass, play D or outrun Peja these days)who can actually beat a guy off the dribble and get all the way to the basket for an easy layup. Or who can hit open 3’s. Or could play faster than Big Z. His numbers were the opposite of XBox 360 awesome. He started every playoff game, averaged 21 mpg, 3.7 ppg, 1.8 rpg, and 1.2 apg. His shooting numbers were also impressive… 28 percent from the floor, almost 26 percent from 3(usually had no one around him shooting), and 50 percent from the line. Well done. Oh, and they need a center(not Eddy Curry)who’s a 7 footer who’s played in only 69 games the past 4 seasons. That slob averaged(in his prime)13.3 ppg while grabbing a wicked 5.3 boards and blocking half a board a game in his BEST SEASON. Haha… wow… he has almost 4 times as many turnovers as he does assists. In 511 games, his incredible mass has basically caused 155 passes to learn Newton’s ideas on gravitational pull, and sort of put Einstein in his place when it comes to that force being imaginary since time being on a curve or not, Curry sucks crap in. He somehow pulled in 32 million over the past 3 seasons while playing in only ten games.

  3. goforthanddie - Aug 16, 2011 at 1:37 PM

Those rhymes are weaker than leb in the 4th quarter.

    • denverhoopdreams - Aug 16, 2011 at 2:14 PM

Agreed. Cant wait til Jay-Z and Kanye come back with a diss on him for his Uncle Otis track.

      • mella21 - Aug 18, 2011 at 3:01 AM

I doubt they will…Jay usually doesn’t respond to people so far below him. Kanye…well who knows anything about ‘Ye these days.

  4. david8726 - Aug 16, 2011 at 3:41 PM

At this point, LeBron James hating isn’t even real hating anymore. It’s “bandwagon” hating. People are doing it because everyone else is and it’s the cool thing to do right now.

    • philtration - Aug 16, 2011 at 7:44 PM

Kind of like the same reason some people like him.

      • david8726 - Aug 16, 2011 at 7:50 PM

        That doesn’t make any sense.

Right now, most of the sports watching public dislikes LeBron James. If you’re someone who chooses to like LeBron James, you aren’t doing so because it’s the cool or popular thing to do (the way hating him is).

If you like LeBron, you are going against the grain right now.

    • jimeejohnson - Aug 23, 2011 at 12:39 PM

      Cool if you’re a LOSER!

  5. jgray30 - Aug 16, 2011 at 3:58 PM

I think its funny. Game would probably best Lebron down. Bron is a b ball player he cant fight. U see he didnt do anything when Delonte was breaking his mom off. He just sat there with a dumbass look on his face while his team was getting pounded be Boston.

    • jimeejohnson - Aug 23, 2011 at 12:40 PM

      I think you’re lying.

  6. cookie2117 - Aug 16, 2011 at 4:37 PM

Not a Lbj fan dissin him is gettin old

  7. bhester1906 - Aug 16, 2011 at 4:59 PM

If you read The Game’s thank you section from his next album you will see where he thanked Lebron James for the free publicity,

  8. philtration - Aug 16, 2011 at 7:43 PM

One of the few things even lamer than LeBron… Rap.

  9. deenice810 - Aug 16, 2011 at 8:44 PM

I’m not a fan of Lebron but The Game really should try to get that rap career thing back on track. He might want to change his name to the “The Lame”

  10. rodge1 - Aug 17, 2011 at 12:14 AM

    @ micklethepickle
Did that make you feel better? The line in the song was weak like your post. I’m a believer of fair criticism. I think Bonds is a douche but I wouldn’t criticize his baseball game or swing because I suck at baseball compared to him. I also agree about Garnett being a jackass, but I’m nobody to rip on his basketball game. You should take a Midol before reading posts and posting comments.
Why would I yell at kids? Is that why you’re so angry? Were you yelled at too much?

    • micklethepickle - Aug 19, 2011 at 12:54 PM

That is what you said. Don’t pretend like what I said came out of nowhere. And while I’m glad we agree on those other athletes, my point was that saying because LeBron James is an athlete who could probably beat 99.9999% of the earth’s population on a basketball court means that people shouldn’t acknowledge his mistakes makes no sense. That another person shouldn’t criticize LeBron because he physically beat them in… an MMA competition (is that an Octagon?) is even worse.

The Game AND Tyler, the Creator together on the same track!? I’m hitting up youtube….OFWGKTA

  12. fouldwimmerlaik - Aug 17, 2011 at 11:14 AM

    Hey, thugs better watch out. Lebron is still making his list of people who disrespect him. You, rapper, you are on the list. {followed by a cold, hard stare}

  13. stboulware - Aug 17, 2011 at 4:26 PM

I do not care for Lebron one way or the other, I’m a Kobe fan. But I seriously doubt the Game is even relevant anymore. He had a few good songs way back in the 50 Cent era, in which 50 Cent helped him write and afterwards he could barely get an album to go Gold. He is trying to stay current and drum up anticipation for another album in which he will suck lil wayne’s dick and praise rick ross or some other cartoon idiots.

  14. avebaker76 - Aug 17, 2011 at 8:02 PM

Ignorance at its’ best, that’s what I call this! The Game’s career must be falling apart for him to have to stoop to that pathetic level by attacking a man who’s never really done anything to him with a weak ass rap song! That’s how sorry too many of us has become as a race of people…can’t enjoy any level of success (it seems) without putting one another down. And anyone that gets off on some low level, ghetto stupidity such as this, needs their heads examined! I’m not a big Lebron fan, yet I respect the fact that he’s a great people with plenty of room to grow if we give the man a chance. Plus, whatever his mother does behind closed doors is her business. True, there were rumors circulating about her alleged involvement with Delonte West, and I’m quite sure Lebron wasn’t too happy about that. So, why do we feel the need to rub this in the man’s face? Aren’t we bigger than that?! No wonder we can’t get from point A to point B as a race of people. Too many haters that need to grow the hell up!

  15. southbeachtalent - Aug 18, 2011 at 12:07 PM

    Hey game,

Here’s a suggestion for your next album title: Game Over.

On a side note, where’s diablito? He hasn’t commented yet? I am legitimately worried something must have happened.

  16. dysraw1 - Aug 18, 2011 at 3:49 PM

its funny just a few seasons nobody would dare speak of the king like ive been seeing these couple of years. the public is so fickle .

  17. africanballer - Aug 23, 2011 at 6:54 AM

The Game dissin lebron? lol this is irrelevant. Next!

  18. missmomo1 - Aug 26, 2011 at 1:31 AM

Why is the game such a hater? Man this guy is ALWAYS talking, it’s gettin real old. Who the heck is this Tyler idiot to be runnin his mouth? Get outta here with that mess. The hatred and complete lack of repect for LeBron is absolutely DISGUSTING. What a bunch of pitiful people, FANS, I’m looking at YOU TOO. Get a life, My God!

  19. killgrip - Aug 26, 2011 at 3:36 PM

Oh, Game. You poor insignificant child. Let’s see if we can help you out here…you ready little boy? Here goes. Your flow? WHAT FLOW? Your rhymes? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! At least no one can say Lebron isn’t good at what he does, well…no one with any sense. Game…KNOCK IT OFF!!!! GROW UP!!!! FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO DO WITH YOUR LIFE!!!! SOMETHING AS FAR AWAY FROM HIP HOP AS POSSIBLE. AND IF YOU INSIST ON GETTIN AT PEOPLE, GET AT PEOPLE WHO HAVE LESS TALENT THAN YOU. I know it’s hard to find folks who have less talent…I’m kidding, seriously…just stop it already.
