If fans want players to get paid less, they just have to stop going to games, watching games, or buying merchandise. Fans forget that they’re in charge; stop whining about how much they make if you’re going to keep opening your wallet.

the stupid owners did these things to themselves trying to put butts in those seats, so they gave crazy contracts to the likes of jayson williams, stephon marbury, and the list goes on. heres a clue about letting these players establish some type of real presents, before throwing money based on potential.

yes, 14 yrs later, when the economy is considerably worse for the wear than it was back then ….. and he never said they shouldnt have 10m contracts, he said to expect them to be fully guaranteed is basically ludacris ….. ive heard phil n him were certainly at the very least civil, but Gordon is right who ever said/wrote/taped anything about MJ & DR being tight?? ….. phil is not an owner & has never had stake in a team, hes always been more of an employee, like a player would (& he was that too) ….. you see students this fluff piece is what we in the biz like to refer to as Swiss Cheese

Players should earn 1,000 a game each. If they cannot accept that. Let them bust their buts looking for work. Or feeding a family of five off of ten dollars an hour.
