Well, it´s true that allowing the zone has had an impact on the game, but how would you rate individual players in the likes of Dumars, Payton, Rodman (Detroit´s version) defensively with today´s players? MJ won six championships in eight years with six different Chicago teams, because aside from Michael himself and Pipen the teams had different casts. if he hadn´t retired to try baseball he might have won eight consecutive championships. Bear in mind that Hall of Famers like Barkley, Malone, Ewing, and others were practically denied a championship by Jordan´s presence. Hakeem Olajuwon might have never won those two championships had MJ decided not to retire after the first three.

You forgot to mention how defenses are a lot smarter now a days as well….and a lot bigger, faster, stronger etc.

Kobe is a great player as it is, however the two of them(kobe and Mike) should never be compared, they played in two different eras in spite that they overlaped!!! besides defences are much softer nowdays, allowing the offensive player a certain edge…….

Hahahhahahhahahahha, it´s amazing to see how soon people seem to forget “history”; I gather you didn´t get a chance to see M.J. drop 63 on the powerhouse 1986 Boston Celtics, probably one of the three greatest teams in league history!!!

People fail to mention how WIlt’s teammates intentionally fouled the Knicks from the 2nd quarter on that day to get the ball back to Wilt, in addition to calling time outs in the end of the game while being up 20+ points lol. Many may disagree, but you can’t convince me that Wilt scoring 100 under these circumstances is better than Kobe scoring 81. Just my two cents.
