This is all beside the point. Boston couldn’t score at the end of games against the Heat and that’s why they lost. Perkins would not have changed that. With an at least functional Shaq, they win that series and none of this talk is going on.

True. But we’re not talking about a video game here. Players have feelings and emotions. The Perk trade simply ruined the chemistry of the team and made the players less confident. Doc Rivers also mentioned the fact that the Celtics had a larger playbook with Perkins around — no other team in leagues has a starting lineup that has been playing together for 3.5 years.
