There is definite optimism in Indy. Very good front office hirings, good young coach, depth on the coaching bench, excellent arena, and as of now, well behaved players. This is of course why Dunleavy is on the team. Trading away a poorly behaved player. And I would dispute the pay level of Granger. There are role players in this league that make much more.

Troy Murphy was never bought out, just traded. And I’m sure you remember the circumstances of why Dunleavy and his awful contract had to be traded for. Well, you probably don’t, you routinely make mistakes like these.

Holy Fact Check, Batman.

For one thing, Danny Granger, the teams best player, makes only $12,000,000 this season. Considering guys like Chris Bosh make $17,000,000 I think them getting Granger on that contract was a great move.

And second of all, last time I checked, there’s quite a bit of difference between “buying out Troy Murphy” and “trading Troy Murphy for Darren Collison”. But that’s just me.
