wait a minute ,, first off if you READ the entire story first , larry brown is approaching the celtics its not the other way around , the Cs are NOT asking brown to come work for them ok !!! and 2nd brown has said to the celtics that he would be willing to take the avg asst coach salary if they hire him !!! so what it tells us is that brown is up in age and he probally dont want to be a head coach anymore he already turned down 2 or 3 offers from other teams as a head coach in the nba so to say that brown would not b comfortable being asst to doc is crazy ,, the Cs JUST gave doc 35 mil that makes doc the highest paid nba coach in history so doc is going NO WHERES ok ,, and brown knows that so all brown wants to do is be on a really good team and be an asst coach he has already made that clear plus he and doc are very close already from the past so belive me if the Cs hire brown it would be a good thing to have a championship calibur asst coach on the side lines with a great team like the celtics ,, the Cs will be a very very tough team when the season gets going with all the new young blood they will have and with the vet players it will be a good mix this time around ,, look at the MAVS look what they did with a mix of older great vet players and some really good young guys to help them ??? lol yeah they went all the way ,,, dirk 33 kidd 35 ,, etc,, then jason terry and the younger guys coming off the bench ok thats what the Cs will be like this time around for sure !!! but as far as brown ,, HE wants to work for the celtics ok not the celtics seeking brown to asst coach the team !!!!! lol

this would be a dumb move. thats like Sacramento trading for Kobe but telling John Salmons " dont worry your job is safe, he's going to come off the bench for us". Coach Brown is a championship head coach, why would he want to play second string to Doc? The better move would be going to ESPN, TNT, or NBA Tv, give a young guy a chance to coach, you've had your fun, let it go Larry.
