Ok so he may have taken over a few games. But really Vince Carter did not do it consistently. That’s not a question. This is a guy who was more athletically talented than Kobe with great basketball skills, and yet you can’t really compare his career to Kobe’s. There’s a reason for that. He did not consistently dominate games. There’s no arguing about that. Highlight dunks, ridiculous 360 layups….sure, dominating games….not so much.

Could never take over a game? Maybe these last few years he wasn’t able too but you might want to check out some of his earlier games in his career. Guy could score all over the floor. His biggest problem has always been he is lazy and his work ethic isn’t that of a Kobe or d wade. Hopefully he lands on a contender and snags a ring before he retires!!

Vince could play a few more years. The question is whether he will accept playing forva team that is not a contender and also come off the bench. He is not enough of a difference maker for the top team to pursue him and even the top o his game he was never a player who could rake over a game. The thing is he is not like a Jason Terry off the bench and you you kind of expect guys as they lose their athleticism to improve their shooting percentage, that hasn’t happened in Vince’s case.
So, although I’ve always liked his game, if he becomes n unrestricted free agent he will be paid much less and may have to play on a team that’s rebuilding, and come off the bench
