kahn is not a good GM so I would not expect anything less than this type of behavior. I don’t care if he hung out Rambis out to dry, its drafting johnny flynn and a bunch of other stiffs. It also tells me he is somewhat of a kuck with no class. No NBA coach can turn low level talent into a top team. I liked Rambis and didn’t know why he got fired other than the fact that the GM was covering his own incompentencies, but than again, the timberwolves had 10 plus years of this type of stuff so I might think its the owner who is a little off.

I hope Kahn had other reasons of letting him go other than having a fast break team that can be mentioned in public because saying I want a “relentless fastbreaking team” is silly when your team played at the fastest pace in the league. Also, I hope he realizes that some of their defensive problems can be traced back to the fact they’re trying to be a “relentless fastbreaking team.”

Rambis was the consummate team player, knows the game and is respected by his peers. Not given the roster or tools to play his preferred system it was a foregone conclusion. Yeah there may be limited opportunity to be a head coach in the NBA but the wolves have made it clear they are amateurs playing with professionals. Good luck whoever.
