I think that the likelihood of Paul demanding a trade now is about as good as death and taxes! The problem of course is that Paul’s hands will soon quickly be tied when the CBA runs out at midnight on June 30th.

Once the CBA runs out, there can be no player movement of any kind and no team even if they could make a play for Paul can do so until they know what the ramifications of the new (likely substantially lower), salary cap will be.

Truth is, the Lakers would move Odom in a heartbeat if it meant a shot a Paul, but I don’t see the Knicks having enough to offer in return and the Nets already have their point guard of the future.

Truer words were never spoken! Gray showed a lot of progress during the playoffs and he likely isn’t starter material, but he’ll leave a hole in the Hornets second rotation. With West also leaving, I just have to laugh at Chris Paul, as Paul was the guy telling all his teammates and anyone who would listen that he’s gone after next year, not it’s his teammates who are bailing on him!!!

Hey Chris! Here’s to 50 or more next season, baby! That’s 50 LOSSES of course without West and Gray.

Agreed, but a serviceable backup is worth more than a million per year (the average NBA salary is close to 6 million per year). Cheers.
