Felton was only the backup in Denver because Ty Lawson is set to join the discussion as one of the best PGs in the league. Not a knock against Felton at all.

His stats might have been inflated in New York, but the fact remains that Felton is a more than capable PG who will be able to run the pick and roll all day with Aldridge. I think you’ll be surprised, Felton is a good fit with this team.

Miller had a 50pt game vs Dallas. Had several other games where he was the go to player.
Granted he wasn’t the best player that was Alderidge.
Never said he was.
But can you trust Roy to be healthy to lead the team?
I just feel they gave up too much for Felton.
He’s not a top PG. He was the backup in Denver.
If it was just a straight trade where no picks involved it would be ok.
But to give up Nolan Smith too was dumb.
Patty Mills isn’t the answer at backup PG so they still need one to me.

Portland may have settled for this trade, but they’re getting Felton at a great time. He’s out to prove something now off to his 3rd team in 6 months, and he’s entering a contract year with a $7.5 million salary. If he can perform enough to prove himself the ball-handler of their future, he’ll cash in big out west.

Pretty fair trade based on salary amounts. Felton is a RFA after next season, and Miller is a UFA – but otherwise decent swap for both teams. It might actually help both teams move forward next season.

I have always been a fan of Miller. Seems like a steady veteran presence. Guess we’ll see how he works out in Denver. Good trade if you are a Felton fan as well. Looks like he has a pretty clear path to become a starter again.

Miller got them to the playoffs? He wasn’t the best player on the team or anything. May as well say Felton got the Nuggets to the playoffs — oh by the way they were a higher seed.

Portland gets a younger PG, Denver gets 7.8mil immediate relief. That should’ve been a straight-up deal.
I’m glad Rudy gets to play elsewhere and we got a 1st for him. I’m not thrilled we already gave said 1st away.

Bad deal for Portland.
Miller got them into the playoffs last year.
And they gave away Rudi to Dallas.
Why help out a team you’d have to face?
This new GM doesn’t look too good.

In addition to my last comment Nuggets get a future 2nd, Felton is worth way more then a simple swap of picks and Miller

This report isn’t right, Nuggets did trade Felton for Miller (former Nugget by the way) but didnt swap 21 and 22, they got the Mavs 26th pick which Portland had the rights too
