I would take Tristan Thompson over Enes Kanter any day. If you could get Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson, you’ve had a productive draft day, for sure.

Draft day is always a lot of fun, as in the NBA even when a guys a lottery pick, there’s at least a 25% chance that he’ll be quickly flipped before the middle of the first round and have to change ceremonial hats.

My all time favorite draft night, hands down, over the past 30 years was the 2008 draft when after the Bulls selected Derrick Rose #1, Pat Riley then stepped on his wonker and took Michael Beasley #2, by passing emerging stud Kevin Love who went 3 picks later to the T-Wolves!

Riley… ya, he’s a genius so long as he has a blank checkbook, but otherwise? Not so much! Michael Beasley! LOL! LALALALOL!!!!

Here’s the latest hot rumor (just reported on XTRA sports talk radio in San Diego)… Lakers trade Odom to Cleveland for their backup center and the #4 overall pick in the draft (which the Lakers would then use to draft a point guard). I think that this would be a great move on the part of the Lakers, but I’m afraid that I might bust my gut from laughing at the thought of Odom and his Hollywood starlet trophy wife getting marooned to Cleveland!!!!
