I LOVE this deal for Dallas, as there's no way they would have gotten near the player, much less a seasoned proven player, for what little that they gave up. The most important thing to the NBA is to keep greaser Riley and the Heat as the villans in black hats so that everyone can sit back and have a hearty laugh as they keep nearing the summit, only to fall back and roll down the mountain bare butt on their ARSES!

This gets Dallas younger and makes them a conference co-favorite (along with the Lakers who everyone still expects to make at least one trade to improve with Odom likely being the guy on the hook of the fishing pole), to win the West next year.

While I'd love to see the Bulls become the next team to flush Miami down the old terlet, I'd also be fine if that's the Lakers, Thunder, Mavs or Little Sisters of The Poor too!

Make the world a better place; punch greaser Pat Riley in the face!

Relatively low salary (http://www.spotrac.com/nba/dallas-mavericks/rudy-fernandez/) compared to upper-echelon players. At best he could be a come off the bench player and help the Mavs as some of the players did throughout the playoffs. Obviously, the Mavs see something in him in order to trade for him.

Seems like a decent grab for the Mavs assuming he doesn't have issues playing for them like he did in Portland. I kind of liked the potential of Jordan Hamilton though. Maybe they are thinking they are too veteran of a team to wait for a kid that has "potential"
