i watched that 4th quarter on replay focusing on the foul calls…they were all correct, the C’s ran out of steam in that quarter. you know it, i know it, the world knows it. no excuses…move on.

other than that, yeah, Ainge is a great GM…bad move if they dump him. he made them contenders/champions.

Sure, fire the man who had the stones to bring in Ray and Kev. and the Trophy. Making the finals three years? And only the refs stopped them from having a 2nd trophy ( 21 fouls in the 4th qtr- the most in the 4th all year “and it happened” to be the 4th qtr of the 7th and last game of the year) and signing Doc for 5 yrs. Sure! Get rid of him, he’s a bum.
If he’s your definition of a “bad” GM, I’d hate to see your definition for a good one.

This article is a bit redundant. We saw Ainge’s willingness to trade anybody when he traded Kendrick Perkins. A better question is “Are the Celtics willing to fire Ainge for being a bad GM?”

I don’t think they would trade away Pierce, he is part of that Celtic dynasty. I believe they will try to get something out of Garnett which seems logical, seeing that they could get someone a little younger. Trade Garnett for Josh Smith, Smith said he would like to either Orlando, New Jersey or Boston. So here is that chance and Atlanta is willing to trade Smith.

I know alot of you will jump on me for even saying that, but really, Garnett is getting old and his minutes are being restricted little by little. Jeff Green will not be able to fill his shoes and Big Baby is thinking about leaving also.

All in all, the teams in the East are ramping up their rosters, if the Celtics want to remain a big challenge, they may have to think about things like this.

i think it would be a mistake to get rid of any of this 4. i can possibly see why they would trade Paul Pierce, but Ray is still among the best 3 point shooters in the league, you need a guy like him on your team. But i think changing the big 3 roles will be essential next season. I could not fathom as to why they would even consider trading Rondo. top 5 PG in the league, but from this point on in his career he is only going to get better. yeah he needs to work on his J but so did Jason Kidd when he first came into the league.

i sure hope they don’t break this group up. But i think they’re just a center and a 6th man away from being in the finals again.

Rondo and Ray should stay, with Rondo a potential top-5 PG and Ray-Ray strokin 3′s until senior citizenship. Get what you can from Pierce and Garnett…
