Yeah, cuz the rebuilding Cavs would love to send a fan favorite and defensive stalworth away for a headcase, a kid who is only in the league because of his last name, and another pg on the wrong side of 30. Lakers fans make me laugh. The Pau Gasol trade wasn’t one sided enough for you??

That is really one of the worst “how about this” trades I have ever seen, sorry man. So Cleveland is gonna give up Andy, Sessions and #4 just to get #2 and take Derrick Williams? Really? Why would they give up 3 of their best trade assets for that? Try again.

Lakers get: C/PF Anderson Varejao, PG Ramon Sessions
Minnesota gets: PF Pau Gasol, #4 Pick from Cleveland
Cleveland gets: # 2 pick,

Gasol gets paired up with Rubio to ease him into the NBA, Lakers get an energy big who can play D and a PG with a PER above the NBA average. Cavs get the #2 pick they want and take on a bad contract to get it while moving a couple of guys who arent fitting into the plans. It could work

He would be a great asset on defense and a great backup center. The obvious need is for a PG, but I think Kobe should give that position a real try. What the Lakers need more than anything though is a reliable perimeter shooter and defender.

As a Cavs fan I would be fine with a Kobe for Varejao trade. That seems fair.

The Lakers are in a difficult position. They need youth and athleticism, but don’t want to compromise the best parts that keep them as a contender. The other problem is their other expendable parts nobody else wants. For the Lakers to get better, they’re going to have to move one of their 4 top players, but do they risk messing with chemistry? No team is going to take on Artest, Fisher, Blake, Walton, Brown, Barnes, Ratliffe, or Smith so they’re stuck between a rock and a hard place. They might be stuck just trying to win one more with this group.

Guess the E tv show will be cancelled if Lamar gets traded to Cleveland. Who wants to watch anything that has anything to do with Cleveland?

I think Varejao is a 50/50 chance. If Odom would play hard every time on the court, then he would be damn good. People criticize Gasol for being soft this past season, but Odom could have made a difference too. So maybe the trade could be good, but make sure to get Varejao and a guard too.

Give up Artest, Barnes, Blake, whoever if needed.

well the lakers do need a back up center…Lakers traded for Joe Smith and had signed Theo Ratliff and in the playoffs neither of them even took off there warm up clothes

he’s not a bad player but he’s ok, he’ll do alot more then what Luke, Blake, Joe and Theo can.

This guy is terrible. I’m a pistons fan and I wouldn’t want him for free.

He’s the worst fundamental player in the NBA. Can’t shoot, rebound or play defense. All he can do is draw a foul and flop like a loser.

talk about aiming low. Here’s an idea: how about you aim for an energy guy with actual basketball skills or an energy guy that rebounds and plays D like a PF or C instead of a small forward (for example a Joel Anthony).
